Sep. 2005 Visit of the Mayor of Temuco Mr. Francisco Huenchumilla visited our premises to know first-hand our project “Construction of a Center for Mapuche Culture to help to improve the quality of life of the indigenous rural population of the Ninth region, through the preservation and promotion of their culture and the commercialization of Traditional Mapuche Textiles.”

Aug. 2005 Traditional Mapuche Textiles Internship (Pasantía) Paola Meneses and Catherine Gomaz, Fondart winners from Viña del Mar and Valparaíso carried out of internship of 7 days at the Fundacion, to learn of the weavings’ elaboration and have cultural immersion workshops.

Jun. 2005 Araucania Textil Project – Empowerment of Mapuche Textile Innovation Project Project aiming at contributing to rescue, improve, preserve, and promote the indigenous textiles, as an important part of their cultural heritance. Funded by Orígenes Program, Chilean Ministry of Planning and IADB.
Mar. 2005 Araucania Textil Project – Enliving the Indigenous Textile Sector of Chile Stage 1 of Pilot Project funded by Orígenes Program
Mar. 2005 Medicinal Plants Project A three-year project aiming at approve a Medicinal Plants Pilot Productive System, carried out under Good Agricultural Practices techniques. Partners are two indigenous communities: Chapo (Carahue) and Molco Bajo (Nueva Imperial). Funded by the Ministry of Agriculture’s Agricultural Innovation Foundation (FIA).

Mar. 2005 Award of IFAT’s Official Accreditation as a Fair Trade Organization Chol Chol Foundation is accredited by IFAT, The International Fair Trade Federation, as a Fair Trade Organization.
Feb. 2005 Launching of Recipe Book “Cocinando en las riveras del Chol Chol” Compilation of traditional recipes made by female beneficiaries, Mapuche and rural, and the weaving instructors of the Fundacion.
Jan. 2005 Supporting Mapuche women’s financial strategies through innovative and sustainable services A 1-year project focusing on three areas: Apiculture, Textiles and Medicinal Plants. Funded by Ford Foundation.
Jan. 2005 Natural dyeing Course-Workshop Two female artisans and one Craftwork female instructor participated in an innovating course carried out by Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Santiago.
