Services

Fundación Chol-Chol, an institution that has no religious or political affiliations, has implemented a wide variety of projects that facilitate the education of rural families. Within the last few years, the institution has focused its efforts towards the promotion of community organizing and the search for alternative, accessible markets for the sale of produce, textiles and other products.

Examples of services provided include:

• Hands-on trainings in a variety of areas (horticulture, poultry farming, livestock breeding, land use and planning, food conservation, nutrition and family health)
• Adult literacy
• Micro-credit and micro-finance
• Marketing and sales support

Educational training programs are always grounded in the realities that rural families face in their daily life, in order to respect the real concerns of these families and to make educational lessons practical. The Fundación provides financial resources to support micro-enterprise productive processes in order to open up lending services to populations that are often excluded from the formal banking systems.
